Powertrain Maturation
Abstract
This effort will emphasize improving component engine and transmission subsystem maturity and reduce engine and transmission cost and manufacturing time. The Army will conduct maturation and demonstration activities to expedite technology transition from laboratory to operational use and prepare for low rate initial production of the advanced combat engine and transmission. This effort will conduct the evaluation of reliability, maintainability, and logistical analyses necessary to transition to a vehicle platform and conduct maturation to the components as a result of these evaluations.
