LIGHT MOBILITY AIRCRAFT (LIMA)

Abstract

Light Mobility Aircraft (LiMA) support contingency response forces in non-combat operations such as disaster/humanitarian response. They are also used in support of Air Force air advisors conducting Building Partnership Capacity missions that prepare partner nations to develop air mobility capabilities consistent with their military transportation needs. This program is in Budget Activity 7, Operational System Development because this budget activity includes development efforts to upgrade systems that have been fielded or have received approval for full rate production and anticipate production funding in the current or subsequent fiscal year.
