Training Technologies
Abstract
Applied research to enhance the ability to train and educate Naval forces from time of recruitment through separation from the military. This includes use of simulated environments in classroom and deployed environments. Improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness is achieved by applying operations research, modeling and simulation, and instructional, cognitive, and computer sciences to the development, delivery, evaluation, and execution of training and education. To avoid duplication of effort, research is coordinated with other Services via the Office of the Secretary of Defense Communities of Interest.
