Government/Industry Co-sponsorship of University Research

Abstract

The GICUR program was established as a mechanism to co-fund university research with industry. The Department has not requested funding since FY 2004. The GICUR program has since executed Congressional earmarks. In FY 2010, the GICUR program received three Congressional Adds. They are: •Integrated Cryo-cooled High Power Density Systems $3.200 (Sponsor Sen Martinez (FL) •High Efficiency Solar Energy Generation and Storage $0.800 (Sponsor Rep Jackson-Lee (TX) •Center for Research on Minority Health Prostate Cancer Outreach Project $0.800 (Sponsor Rep Jackson-Lee (TX)
