This is a new start in FY12. The Systems 2020 initiative will set the technical foundation for the Department’s system needs for the next decade. This initiative funds OSD and Service research, development and pilot efforts in key technologies and tools for design and development of complex systems. Defense Efficiency – Report, Studies, Boards and Commissions. As part of the Department of Defense reform agenda, reflects a reduction in the number and cost of reports, studies, DoD Boards and DoD Commissions below the aggregate level reported in the previous budget submission.
