WARFIGHTER INFORMATION NETWORK-TACTICAL - DEM/VAL
Abstract
The Defense Acquisition Executive (DAE), through the Nunn-McCurdy certification process, certified a restructured WIN-T program on June 5, 2007. The certification Acquisition Decision Memorandum (ADM) stated that the Army will restructure the WIN-T Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) to absorb the former Joint Network Node (JNN) Network program. It further stated that the restructured program will consist of four Increments: Inc 1, Inc 2, Inc 3, and Inc 4. WIN-T is key to the Army's Network Modernization program. The WIN-T program's focus is to provide tactical network capability that supports the Army's Capability Set fielding.
