Wide Area Surveillance

Abstract

This program element is new to the Joint Staff and funds the continued management, advanced research and development and prototype evaluation of Homeland Surveillance technologies with the goal of improved Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense in the homeland. Additional details of the program are classified. FY14 activities include, but are not limited to, advanced technology development, program management and those efforts to support transition of the program to the U.S. Air Force in FY2015. This program is in Budget Activity 4, Advance Component Development and Prototypes (ACD&P) because efforts are necessary to evaluate integrated technologies, representative modes or prototype systems in a high fidelity and realistic operating environment.
