Improved Homeland Defense Interceptors

Abstract

The Improved Homeland Defense Interceptor Program Element will deliver a NGI for Homeland Defense. The NGI acquisition covers the development, integration and testing of an All Up Round (AUR) boost vehicle/ kill vehicle system capable of surviving both the natural and hostile environments while countering the allocated threats. The NGI will provide the Warfighter a cost-effective solution that is lethal across the specified threat space and extensible to address future and evolving threats. The Government will issue a Request for Proposal in FY 2020 for a NGI acquisition, which covers the development, integration and testing of an AUR boost vehicle/ kill vehicle system.
