(U)MARINE AVIATION DEVEL MANAGEMENT & SUPPORT
Abstract
Marine Aviation Developmental Management and Support enables the development of Marine Aviation's future capability concepts through analytically rigorous study, modeling, simulation, and validation. This Program Element (PE) includes funding for the integration of Marine Aviation into the USMC's Navy Capabilities-Based Assessments Integration Process - Marine Corps (NCIP-MC) processes as well as support to ongoing joint warfighting effectiveness efforts lead by OSD Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) and Research & Engineering (R&E). Fully informed wargaming and operational analysis conducted via this PE will ensure Marine Aviation development programs are driven by threat data and analysis resulting in impactful, comprehensive investment decisions. This PE will inform development and prototype efforts, which progress high-risk technology areas in support of future Marine Aviation capabilities. JUSTIFICATION FOR BUDGET ACTIVITY: This program is funded under RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, TEST and EVALUATION MANAGEMENT SUPPORT because it supports efforts directed toward sustaining or modernizing installations or operations required for general research, development, test and evaluation.
