Solutions to Sustain Warfighter Performance in Extreme Environments

Abstract

The validation of host response signatures of performance decrements to exposure to toxic environmental hazards will provide physiologically based algorithms that predict and detect organ and system toxicity post-exposure. This enables the creation of a risk management tool allowing Commanders to make informed decisions in real-time regarding the risk of exposure to toxic industrial chemicals and materials. The p-Product will ensure sustained Soldier physiological and cognitive performance and improved capacity to be lethal under environmentally challenging operational conditions, such as dense urban environments and subterranean spaces.
