High Energy Laser Enabling Technologies for Tactical Directed Energy Weapons
Abstract
Research novel solid-state laser concepts, architectures, and components in support of the Army?s HEL weapons strategy; exploit breakthroughs in laser technology, develop and employ innovative laser gain material, and utilize photonics to meet the stringent weight/volume requirements for Army platforms, especially to enhance and improve the generation, transmission, and reception of lasers.
