Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine

Abstract

This effort supports clinical studies of treatment of ocular and visual system traumatic injury, as well as restoration of function and appearance by regenerating skin, muscle, and bone tissue in battle-injured casualties. Areas of interest for regenerative medicine include healing without scarring, repair of compartment syndrome (muscle and nerve damage following reduced blood flow due to swelling), replacement skin, and facial reconstruction.
