9) Nerve Agent Prophylaxis/Pretreatments
Abstract
Develop pretreatments and prophylactics that counter chemical warfare agents, including organophosphorus nerve agents (OPNA), using targeted and innovative science and technology efforts that will offer broad-spectrum protection, flexible route of administration, lower dose requirements, and reduced operational and logistical burden. The use of these medical countermeasures (MCM) will protect the lives and effectiveness of our Warfighters, thus maintaining force strength and force capability.
