Deep Seaweb (DSW)
Abstract
DSW provides a capability to persistently detect and monitor high traffic maritime areas of interest to find/fix/track illicit traffickers in source and transit zones. DSW will deliver an undersea-network of fixed bottom sensor nodes, mobile unmanned communication gateways, and an operations center server that will provide autonomous 24/7 tripwire surveillance that cue coalition forces of trafficking threats including fully submersible vessels. This information will be available to the tactical decision makers for near real-time action by U.S. or partner nation detection and monitoring assets.
