Force-dependent bond dissociation explains the rate-dependent fracture of vitrimers

Abstract

We find that, in contrast to most viscoelastic polymers previously studied, the intrinsic fracture toughness of vitrimer strongly depends on the loading rate while its bulk dissipation associated with crack extension has weak rate-dependence.
