Metal-mediated rearrangement of 1,2-diphenylhydrazine to ortho-semidine upon reaction with dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium(ii)
Abstract
1,2-Diphenylhydrazine rearranges to ortho-semidine upon reaction with RuCl2(PPh3)3. Crystals of two polymorphs show chiral resolution, producing an enantiopure form, in addition to a racemic, “disappearing” form.
