Rapid nondestructive assessment of the degrees of sensitization of 5456 aluminum alloys using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) with multivariate analysis

Abstract

Machine learning assisted laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) successfully assessed the degree of sensitization (DoS) levels of the Al 5xxx alloys, showing promise for rapid assessment on modern ships predominantly made by Al–Mg alloys.
