Dual orexin antagonist normalized sleep homeostatic drive, enhanced GABAergic inhibition, and suppressed seizures after traumatic brain injury

Abstract

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) can result in posttraumatic epilepsy (PTE) and sleep disturbances. We hypothesized that treatment with sleep aids after TBI can ameliorate PTE.
