Multisensory Influences on Driver Steering During Curve Navigation

Abstract

The effects of inertial (vestibular and somatosensory) information on driver steering during curve navigation were investigated, using an electric four-wheel mobility vehicle outfitted with a steering wheel and a portable virtual reality system.
