Transitioning From Counterinsurgency to Lesser Forms of Engagement

Abstract

This effort will provide recommendations on the procedures and capabilities required to successfully transition from counterinsurgency (COIN) operations to some lower level of conflict, to include police-led operations, peacekeeping and/or the training and equipping of local forces. The results will identify specific science and technology areas that could potentially support and enhance the transition from counterinsurgency operations to a lower level of conflict.
