Abstract
This effort develops and matures lightweight materials and joining technologies to enable lighter, more fuel-efficient tactical and combat vehicles with superior mobility and protection of both vehicles and occupants. Lighter materials and advances in joining technologies such as multi-material and dissimilar material joining will lead to lightweight military vehicle structures.
