Hazardous Material Control and Management

Abstract

Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M) funding in FY17 was reduced to support critical Ballast Water Management tasking related to acquisition of a commercial treatment system. FY18 funding for HMC&M reflects estimated inflation rates from FY16 and supports the execution of more complex shipboard evaluations in FY18. Unlike FY18, FY17 shipboard evaluations do not require modification of shipboard piping.
