Aided Target Recognition (AiTR)
Abstract
This project accelerates developing and demonstrating a modular processing component that enables automatic threat detection capabilities on size, weight, and power (SWaP) constrained platforms. AiTR provides embedded capabilities for existing and next-generation sensors, resulting in approximately 50 percent improvement in target identification range. Prototype development in FY 2022 ensured that AiTR met the SWaP requirements for effective use. In FY 2023, AiTR transitions to Program Element 0603838D8Z Defense Innovation Acceleration for further development.
