Air & Space Force Health Protection (AF)

Abstract

Advanced research to develop and model exposures within the realms of Airman occupation, expeditionary medicine, medical countermeasures of directed energy, aircrew health, and CBRNE environments as it relates to health readiness. This project area seeks to deliver improved capabilities across the full spectrum of Air Force operations to enable force health protection. Tools to enable preventative medicine and health protection during agile combat employment operations. Deliver enhanced capability to rapidly assess and predict the impact of emerging hazards and threats in the operational environment. Ensure maximum readiness of personnel and aircrafts to enable effective patient movement across the spectrum of operational challenges expected in the future fight. Research will include but is not limited to: operational insights exploration to map scenarios of preventative medicine operations in agile combat employment, sensors development/testing/evaluation, data connectivity and networking, decision guidance tools for field use, and extreme environment solutions.
