8) Neurologic Therapeutics

Abstract

Focuses on therapeutic strategies to effectively minimize neurologic injuries resulting from exposure to chemical warfare agents (CWA). This effort involves the development of neuroprotectants, anticonvulsants, and improved therapies for brain enzyme reactivation. Supports eventual Food and Drug Administration (FDA) licensure of new compounds or to identify licensed products for use in the treatment of chemical warfare casualties.
