13) Chemical Therapeutics

Abstract

Focuses on therapeutic strategies to effectively minimize neurologic injuries resulting from exposure to chemical warfare agents (CWAs). This effort involves the development of neuroprotectants, anticonvulsants, and improved therapies for brain enzyme reactivation. This work is designed to develop potential candidates that will ultimately be submitted for FDA licensure or to identify previously licensed products for new uses in the treatment of chemical warfare casualties.
