*Expeditionary Fire Support Systems (EFSS)
Abstract
Program entered Milestone B in November 2004 and the award of a contract with cost plus award fee and firm fixed price line items. EFSS entered the System Development and Demonstration (SD&D) with a single vendor - General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems. Milestone C decision made in June 2005. Functional Configuration Audit began May 2006. LRIP decision made June 2006. Operation Testing (OT) completed on July 2007. Limited Full Rate Production Decision made in September 2007. Follow On Test and Evalution (FOT&E) was completed in March 2008. Full Rate Production (FRP) decision made in May 2008. EFSS supports irregular warfare and distributed operations.
