Abstract
This effort conducts research into the basic mechanisms of the ability to overcome traumatic events including determination of underlying neurobiological mechanisms (nervous system control of cellular and molecular processes) related to Acute Stress Reactions, early characteristics of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and other neuropsychiatric sequalae of trauma/stress.
