Digital Terrain for Live Training
Abstract
This effort investigates technologies to enhance the fidelity and visual effects of digital terrain for live training systems, with an objective metric of reducing overall training time to gain proficiency in the live environment. It addresses live training needs for conducting force-on-force, combined arms exercises to enhance readiness at Army home stations and Combat Training Centers by enhancing vertical terrain resolution, physics-based blast effects on terrain, and data compression technologies.
