MISSILE SIMULATION

Abstract

This project matures and demonstrates advanced modeling and simulation tools for missile design and analysis. Evaluation of missile technology by means of modeling and simulation provides a cost-effective method that supports missile maturation throughout weapon system life cycles. This effort permits a reduction in the number of flight tests required for programs of record as well as improves the confidence of flight test readiness and probability of flight test success. The cited work is consistent with the Director, Defense Research and Engineering Strategic Plan, the Army Modernization Strategy, and the Army Science and Technology Master Plan. Work in this project is performed by the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center, (AMRDEC) Huntsville, AL.
