Family of Artillery Munitions (FAM)
Abstract
Family of Artillery Munitions (FAM) funding is used to develop and mature future artillery munitions for the Marine Corps which includes conducting safety and engineering analysis as well as ship compatibility studies. In conjunction with the Army, the Marine Corps is evaluating new munitions that are effective against; individual area targets dispersed over a defined area, targets whose precise locations are not known, time-sensitive or moving targets, and massed formations of enemy forces.
