Discrimination Sensor Prototype Development

Abstract

The Discrimination Sensor Prototype Development project incrementally develops and tests two airborne advanced sensor prototypes. The initial advanced sensor prototype will characterize performance and the second prototype is an upgraded advanced sensor for participation in Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) tests under operationally relevant conditions and at operationally relevant ranges. The sensors upgrade the proven Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) / MQ-9 Reaper combination demonstrated under the Discrimination Sensor Technology Program Element to perform tracking and discrimination of lethal objects.
