Advanced Future Small Arms Concept Exploration
Abstract
This effort addresses the investigation and design of enabling technologies transitioned from Basic Research (6.1) efforts in the areas of ballistics, energetics, future weapon and fire control sensors in order to extend individual soldier engagement ranges and maintain squad lethality overmatch; and optimize caliber performance to match mission sets.
