Autonomous Low-Profile Vessel (ALPV) Project
Abstract
This project designs, develops, and tests an autonomous maritime surface logistics platform prototype capable of transporting up to a 10-ton payload across large distances of the ocean with minimal visibility and possibility of detection. The low-profile and low cost of the platform provides an innovative logistics solution to support expeditionary advanced basing operations. Prototype development was initiated in FY 2022. In FY 2023, ALPV transitions to Program Element 0603838D8Z Defense Innovation Acceleration for further development.
