Shipboard Firefighting Vehicle (SFV)

Abstract

The SFV program objective is to provide a safe reliable and maintainable way to support air capable ships with flight deck fire suppression during flight operations. The acquisition approach is to develop, acquire, validate, deploy and support production utilizing the lessons learned from the current firefighting vehicle and new emerging technology. This will enable integration of this capability into a new firefighting vehicle, which will be fully capable to support the current and future flight deck fire suppression missions.
