Abstract
Diagnostic Technologies: Development and verification of rapid, sensitive, and specific tests for the identification of Biological Warfare Agents (BWAs) and their expressed pathogens or toxins in clinical specimens from Warfighters for the diagnosis of exposure/infection. Discovery of biomarkers of response to exposure. Evaluation of next generation diagnostic technologies including portable instrument platforms, highly parallel and informative testing formats, and nanotechnology applications.
