*Formerly titled Space, Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) BOY. (U)The Visual Processors Embedded for Real-Time Exploitation (VERTEX) program researched miniature, low-power, low-cost, teraflop-level signal processing solutions derived from commercial Graphics Processor Unit (GPU) hardware and software of the type currently used for fast geometry computations in hand-held electronic games like Nintendo’s GAME BOY (Registered Trademark). The VERTEX technology will transition to the Army.
