Stand Off Gas Cloud Detector for Chemical Weapons (Special Operations Command) - Contingent upon congressional appropriation and/or congressional notification
Abstract
Test a remote stand-off gas detector that uses a thermal camera to conduct a spectral analysis in order to detect identify, classify, and visualize chemical hazards, such as Chemical Warfare Agents and Toxic Industrial Chemicals. The primary output is a Stand Off Chemical Gas Cloud Detector for use by Special Mission Units. Fielding reduction is greater than five years.
