Ultra Wideband Radar (UWB)

Abstract

Conduct research to examine the technical underpinnings of UWB radar for several key Army concealed target detection technology requirements including landmine and improvised explosive device (IED) detection, sensing through-the-wall (STTW), and obstacle detection. Use a combination of advanced computational electromagnetic algorithms, radar measurements and advanced signal processing techniques to define the performance boundaries of state of the art airborne and ground-based UWB radar for concealed target detection.
