Adaptive Morphing Super-Maneuver Aircraft (AMSMA)

Abstract

(U) The goal of the Adaptive Morphing Super-Maneuver Aircraft (AMSMA) program was to demonstrate the practicality and the operational value of morphing aircraft technology in a full scale flight demonstration. The AMSMA approach was to build on the small scale demonstrations of the Morphing Aircraft Structures (MAS) program. The program goal was to demonstrate an advanced morphing, highly maneuverable air vehicle that achieves high fuel efficiencies, translating to prolonged endurance times.
