MH-XX Development

Abstract

The MH-XX project supports Naval Aviation developmental activities to support the replacement of Navy H-60 series helicopters. These aircraft will be used extensively to protect the surface Navy from both surface and sub-surface threats. Additionally, other mission areas will include Combat Search and Rescue, Naval Special Warfare support and Logistics support. Systems engineering activities will be conducted to evolutionize operational requirements into design requirements. Efforts include: requirements synthesis/analysis to properly identify capability gaps, design trades and affordability studies. This will allow system level optimization to provide the maximum war fighting capability at the lowest possible costs. This will provide Naval Aviation the means to maintain war fighting capability effectively and efficiently and support the Navy's 30 year plan.
