CoE - Integrative Cardiac Health Care (USUHS)

Abstract

The USU Integrative Cardiac Health Program is a Center of Excellence whose mission is to: 1. Improve force health by an improved understanding of the CVD risk susceptibility and adoption of healthy lifestyles in military-specific populations (e.g. Wounded Warriors) through leading-edge research using novel tools and biotechnologies. 2. Investigate and create transformational models of practical and personalized CVD prevention tracks as an adjunct to traditional care for dissemination to MHS. 3. Refine individualized prevention strategies through "big Data" modeling to define the most cost-effective and sustainable approaches in promoting CV health throughout the military lifecycle. 4. Identify precise strategies for early detection, monitoring and reduction of preclinical/clinical CV and related chronic disease risks for improved clinical outcomes.
