Carbon Electronics for RF Applications (CERA)

Abstract

The Carbon Electronics for RF Applications (CERA) program developed a wafer-scale graphene (2-D carbon monolayer) synthesis process resulting in films with excellent mobility, uniformity and layer control (down to single monolayer films). These carbon films will be used to develop ultra-low power, high-speed field effect transistors optimized for RF-applications (RF-FET). The program concluded with a demonstration of a low power, low noise amplifier (LNA) using graphene-field effect transistors (FETs) as the channel material.
