Materials and Modeling for Force Protection

Abstract

This effort designs and develops advanced composite and other protective materials and multi-scale modeling techniques to reduce material weight and increase resistance against blast and penetration threats; designs and develops innovative virtual material design procedures; and matures manufacturing processes supported by computational modeling and simulation.
