ADVANCED NAVAL MATERIALS
Abstract
Advanced Naval Materials efforts include: developing advanced, high-performance materials; developing processes to reduce weight and cost; and developing enhanced sonar transducers. The Office of Naval Research Global (ONRG) has a presence overseas, and a mission to search the globe for promising, emerging scientific research and advanced technologies to enable the Office of Naval Research to effectively address current needs of the Fleet and Force. This includes discovering the best science, such as innovative fundamental research which could help shape future naval investments and strategies, and leveraging great minds globally with positive engagement to support the Sailors & Marines of today and tomorrow.
