Turreted Mortar System (Army)
Abstract
FY 2020 New Start - This project will test a turreted mortar system to fill high risk capability gaps within the Brigade Combat Team and across the Multi-Domain Battlefield concept. The system will increase lethality and survivability through extended range, low angle, 360 degree delivery capability, and fire on the move capabilities with overhead protection. If successful, this technology will transition to the Army’s Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle Program Office in FY 2022.
