Sea Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR)

Abstract

Sea NAVWAR provides the Warfighter continued access to GPS through the use of AJ Antenna Systems designed to counter GPS Electronic Warfare threats due to intentional and unintentional interference on surface and subsurface platforms through the continued development of Anti-Jam (AJ) antennas. Program currently supports two (2) efforts: Increment 2 Advanced Digital Antenna Production (ADAP) antenna for surface platforms, and the Submarine Anti-Jam GPS Enhancement (SAGE) antenna for subsurface platforms. Increment 2 ADAP continues to research the viability and development of smaller AJ antennas for surface platforms with SWaP-C restrictions and will ensure compatibility with the M-Code signal. Increment 2 ADAP received acquisition authority (November 2018) to add a small antenna variant to the program baseline. Program is continuing the SAGE antenna development, which integrates AJ capability into the submarine Multi-Function Mast (OE-538B).
