Bacterial Disease Threats
Abstract
This effort conducts research to better understand the biology of bacterial organisms and their effects on humans, as well as how to prevent wound infections, diarrhea (a significant threat during initial deployments), and scrub typhus (a debilitating mite-borne disease that is developing resistance to currently available antibiotics).
