5) Bacterial/Viral/Toxins/ Broad Spectrum Prophylaxis
Abstract
Provide the warfighter protection against biothreat agents through the administration of prophylaxis against known bacterial, viral and toxin threats of interest and emerging infectious threats. Use novel technology and methods to support development of vaccine candidates. Conduct studies to determine potential immune interference between lead vaccine candidates, the effect of alternative vaccine delivery methods, and thermo-stabilization technologies on the efficacy of lead vaccine candidates. Identify correlates of protection in humans, and predict the success of lead vaccine candidates in humans.
