MH-60 SLAP
Abstract
The current design life limits do not support United States Navy inventory requirements to bridge to a follow-on program procurement. The MH-60S will begin reaching conditional 10,000 hour service life limits in 2024. No full-scale fatigue test or comprehensive structural analysis was performed during initial development. Funding will support assessing the structural and subsystem condition of the MH-60S fleet in order to determine what modifications are necessary to extend the aircraft designed life limits to bridge that gap.
